The lovely Norma of Petit Design Co. stepped up though and offered to help me out with that little problem. I sent her the unedited image of the chair and quilts and Norma spliced and diced to create more wall for me to work with. Thanks Norma - you rock! So what do y'all think of the new header (look up, look waayyy up, and I'll call Rusty - hehe, you might need to be Canadian to get that one)? Better?
So I bet everyone wants to know who won the Happy Sew Lucky giveaway right? Well, let me remind you what the prizes were.
The winner of the babushka kit is: Jeni of In Color Order
And the winner of the Sweet Angel kit is: Sonia of Third Street Handcrafters
Okay ladies, send me an email and I'll mail off your winnings! Thanks again to Berene of Happy Sew Lucky for donating these awesome little kits! I'll be back soon with some new books I've received and a little craftiness; I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Not to be difficult but now I miss the quilt!!!
ReplyDeleteI think your quilt is lovely. I would be sad too if I designed it, you are very talented.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone loves your quilt, but likes the negative space in the header . . . I think it would be awesome to move your title over too to capitalize on the negative space, but that is only what I would do (I'm married to a designer, it's not my fault!), but what is important is what YOU like and what you're happy with!
ReplyDeleteAll of that said, I think it looks lovely and fresh!
No way! :D Thanks dear!
ReplyDeleteI'll email you my address so you don't have to dig through your inbox! :)
I love the header and I love the quilt. I do think the header looks better with extra wall though! :)
ReplyDeleteNow I feel bad! The quilt is beautiful - it's just that with both of them there, my eye didn't know where to rest! I love it this way, but it would also be good with just the quilt - maybe you could switch them up!
ReplyDeleteKaye, I love the quilt you had in the header and would love to see a close-up of it!
ReplyDeleteYour new header is very fresh and pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour new header looks fantastic. I like the clean simple look, so it ticks all the boxes for me!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jessica--I think the people just meant they didn't like it in the header but thought just the chair with the stacked quilts would be best. The quilt is lovely!!
ReplyDeleteI just started reading your blog about a week ago and I like the changed header. It's fun to see someone young who is into sewing and blogging about it! :)
ReplyDeleteLauren
I love your new header! I liked the one with your quilt too, but the picture of the stack of quilts on the chair is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the new header either way--I just like change. The Friendly Giant would have that wee quilt on the rocking chair in the corner. What a great memory you conjured up with that reference; Jerome, Rusty who else??? Thanks Kaye I'm just smilin' now
ReplyDeleteAnn
Hello! I just discovered you looking around at all the sweet mug rugs in the swap. I've copied the instructions to your strip coaster and would like to know - where did you find the wonderful fox and tree mug???
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration!
i love love love your new header....xx
ReplyDeleteI love your new header :)
ReplyDeleteThe way this posts comes up on my blog looks like a book cover. Worth taking a look for future endeavors;)
I like your new header and I love that font!
